Child Abuse & Neglect
The Dream Builders Project is a strong advocate for human rights – believing that it is every person and child’s basic right to have safety, freedom, shelter, food, and medical care. Since its founding in 2013, The DBP has fought to end child abuse and neglect.
The very first A Brighter Future for Children charity gala was hosted in 2013 and benefited The Audrey Hepburn CARES Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The CARES Center provides comprehensive medical and psychiatric care for children who have been effected by abuse and neglect. After its immense success, A Brighter Future for Children became a recurring charity gala. The Dream Builders Project also works to raise awareness about child abuse to better inform individuals about available programs and assistance.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. We partnered with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to assist in spreading awareness about child abuse & neglect, how it can effect families and preventative information. We spent time in the lobby at CHLA to distribute informational pamphlet, small toys, coloring books, prevention ribbons and more to raise awareness towards a, sometimes, uncomfortable subject.
